Costs & Pricing

How much does solar installation cost?
Solar cost depends on system size. For residential, 3 kW ≈ ₹1.5–2 Lakh, 5 kW ≈ ₹2.5–3 Lakh, 10 kW ≈ ₹4.5–5.5 Lakh (post-subsidy). Government subsidy can reduce cost by up to 40% for residential systems. Commercial systems are typically ₹45,000–55,000 per kW. Contact us for a custom quote based on your consumption and roof.
What size system do I need?
System size depends on your electricity consumption. A rough guide: 1 kW produces ~4 units per day. If your monthly consumption is 300 units, you need ~3 kW. For 500 units, ~5 kW; for 1000+ units, ~10 kW. Share your electricity bill and we'll recommend the right size during our free consultation.
What's included in the quote?
A typical quote includes solar panels (Tier-1, 25-year warranty), inverter, mounting structure, DC/AC cables and connectors, installation labour, and net metering coordination. DISCOM charges and any extra structural work may be additional. We provide itemised quotes so you know exactly what you're paying for.
Are financing options available?
Yes. Many banks and NBFCs offer solar loans with competitive interest rates. Repayment periods of 5–7 years are common. Subsidy can reduce the loan amount. We can guide you on financing options and documentation required.

Installation & Process

How long does installation take?
For residential projects, physical installation typically takes 3–5 days. The full process—including site survey, DISCOM approval, net metering application, and commissioning—takes about 3–4 weeks from order to power generation. Commercial projects may take 4–8 weeks depending on scale.
Do you service my area?
We serve Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring regions, including Aligarh, Lucknow, Kanpur, Noida, Varanasi, and other cities. Contact us with your location and we'll confirm if we can serve your area. We also handle projects in nearby states.
What roof types do you support?
We install on RCC (concrete) roofs, metal sheet roofs, and terrace installations. Mounting systems are chosen based on roof type and load capacity. A site survey confirms feasibility and the right mounting solution for your roof.

Subsidy & Net Metering

Can I get a subsidy for solar?
Yes. Under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, residential consumers can get up to ₹78,000 for 3 kW and up to ₹1.18 Lakh for systems above 3 kW (up to 10 kW). We assist with subsidy application, portal registration, and documentation. Eligibility depends on your electricity connection and property.
What is net metering?
Net metering lets you feed excess solar power into the grid when your system produces more than you use. You get credit for this power, which offsets your bill when you draw from the grid (e.g., at night). It effectively allows you to "store" excess solar in the grid. Most DISCOMs in UP and India offer net metering for rooftop solar.
Do you handle DISCOM approvals?
Yes. We handle the net metering application, DISCOM approval, and meter installation as part of our service. You don't need to visit the DISCOM office—we coordinate everything. Timelines vary by DISCOM but are typically 1–2 weeks for approval.

Performance & Maintenance

Do solar panels work in winter or on cloudy days?
Yes. Solar panels generate electricity from daylight, not just direct sunlight. They work on cloudy days, though output may be 20–30% lower. In winter, cooler temperatures can actually improve panel efficiency. India receives 4–7 hours of good sunshine year-round, making solar viable in all seasons.
How long do solar panels last?
Quality solar panels come with a 25-year linear performance warranty. Most panels retain 80%+ efficiency even after 25 years. Inverters typically have 5–10 year warranties with extended options. With minimal maintenance, a solar system can last 25–30+ years.
What maintenance is required?
Solar panels need minimal maintenance. We recommend cleaning every 3–6 months to remove dust and debris, and an annual inspection to check connections and performance. Rain helps with natural cleaning. We offer maintenance packages (Basic, Standard, Premium) for hassle-free service. See our Maintenance page for details.
What warranty do you offer?
Panel warranty is from the manufacturer (typically 25-year performance). Inverter warranty is 5–10 years from the brand. We offer a 5-year workmanship warranty on our installation. Full warranty terms are in your service agreement.
